Join Performance Diver Manager and IDC Staff Instructor Adam on a trip to one of the best wrecks around!
For those who are qualified and experienced, the Lermy offers heaps of penetration options but those who are not won't feel left out - this wreck has so much to offer divers at all levels! This makes it a perfect wreck for a competent Advanced Open Water Diver or higher with 50+ dives.
The Mikhail Lermontov was a massive ocean liner, with a total length of over 160m, that sunk in the picturesque Marlborough Sounds in 1986.
The Mikhail Lermontov, or 'Lermy' to her friends, now sits on her Starboard side and is almost fully intact. She rests in a maximum depth of 35m, but because she's such a large ship, comes all the way up to just 12m or so!
The circumstances surrounding the sinking of the Lermontov are rather 'un-usual' and there is huge speculation and theories, even to this day! She has a huge amount of history ready for you to discover while diving on this wreck.
We'll be heading down to the Lermontov on the 16th December, and returning on the 19th.
This gives us two days diving the wreck (up to 5 dives) and makes it the perfect sneaky trip!
The trip package includes:
- 2 days boat diving on the Lermontov (up to 5 dives)
- A guide for the first 2 dives
- Transport to the lodge from Blenheim airport, and back again.
- 3 nights accommodation
- all meals
- cylinder & weight hire
- air fills
- linen & towels
The cost for the trip is just $795.00!
We already have divers confirmed with deposits paid for this epic trip, so if you're interested then get in touch with Adam asap! You can call the shop on 094897782 or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that transport to and from Blehneim is not included in the cost, to accommodate divers based throughout the country, and must be booked by each diver themselves. Adam will be flying into Blenheim and is more than happy to discuss options with you.
