The Philippine culture is a combination of Eastern and Western cultures. The Philippines exhibits aspects found in other Asian countries with a Malay heritage, yet its culture also displays a significant amount of Spanish and American influences. Traditional festivities known as barrio fiestas (district festivals) to commemorate the feast days of patron saints are common. The Moriones Festival and Sinulog Festival are a couple of the most well-known. These community celebrations are times for feasting, music, and dancing. Some traditions, however, are changing or gradually being forgotten due to modernization.
PUERTO GALERA

This coastal town is well known among tourists for its numerous pocket beaches and many snorkeling and Scuba diving spots. The area was designated a Man and Biosphere Reserve of UNESCO in 1973 and has some of the most diverse coral reef diving in Asia
Puerto Galera is a listed by the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World , and is the only bay in the Philippines to be listed there.
Puerto Galera is among the top diving destination in the Philippines. Excellent diving is found less than 5 minutes from Sabang Beach . The diving generally focuses around the areas either side of Escarceo Point, which is famous for its current rips. There are more than thirty dive sites all within a 5-10 minute Banca ride from Sabang Beach . Marine life is highly diverse. 180+ species of nudibranchs are found in the area and many species of fish can be seen. A variety of wrecks have been sunk over the years in addition to the one wreck of an engine of a WWII Japanese patrol boat. Behind the beaches are the huge and generally unexplored mountain ranges of central Mindoro . A particular local attraction is the nine hole golf course perched on the hillside above White Beach which commands spectacular views over Puerto Galera's natural harbor and the Verde Island Passage. Puerto Galera is among the top diving destination in the Philippines .
Palawan

Busuanga Island is the largest island in the Calamian Group in the province of Palawan in the Philippines . Busuanga Island is, in fact, the second largest island in the province after Palawan Island itself. The island is located halfway between the islands of Mindoro and Palawan with the South China Sea located to the west and the Sulu Sea to the southeast. South of the island are the two other major islands of the Calamian Group: Culion Island and Coron Island . Coron, is one of the most mystical islands in Palawan with a length of approximately 30 km. Found in waters surrounding the island are limestone walls which rise to heights of 22 meters offering a spectacular view above and below water. Coron is one of the most famous wreck diving destinations in the world. From the 24 ships that sank during the bombardment of American Forces on Japanese warships during WW II, only 12 wrecks have been located in Diving depths ranging from 25 - 40 meters
