All of us here at the Performance Diver team say that becoming a PADI Professional was one of the best decisions any of us ever made! It's allowed us to make our love of the ocean into our life, sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with the next generation of divers!
Our PADI Divemaster courses can be started anytime you like! We currently have Divemaster Trainees partway through their courses, and some more who are scheduled to start in the upcoming months. Our Divemaster course is run on a 'part time' basis, meaning over weekends and evenings, and we can write up a schedule that suits your lifestyle.
We run our PADI Instructor Development Course so that it's timed to match the scheduled PADI Instructor Exams while fitting into your lifestyle. The next exam is in November, so get in touch now for more information!
We don't require our Instructor Candidates to take their course through the Tertiary education system. This means that we focus on the course that PADI has created to make you an effective and employable PADI Instructor without lumbering you with the huge student loan at the end of the course - our costs are much lower! We also have a 100% pass record for our IDC students - not a bad record!
The PADI Divemastercourse is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. Scuba divers look up to Divemasters because they are leaders who mentor and motivate others. As a Divemaster, you not only get to dive a lot, but also experience the joy of seeing others have as much fun diving as you do. Click here for more info!
If you like people, have a passion for scuba diving and want an extraordinary life – become aPADI Instructor. Teaching scuba diving allows you to share your love of the aquatic world with others while doing what you enjoy – being in, around and under water. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors and PADI Assistant Instructors are the most sought-after dive professionals around the world because they’ve completed the program that sets the standard for training dive professionals. You earn a PADI Instructor rating through hard work and commitment, but you’re rewarded with a job that lets you share incredible underwater adventures with others – transforming their lives for the better and enriching yours.
The Instructor Development course (IDC) is made up of two parts - the Assistant Instructor (AI) and the Open Water Scuba instructor (OWSI) program. Most Dive Professionals complete both parts and then go onto attend the Instructor Exam (IE), which is the final step to earn their PADI Instructor Certification.Click here for more info!
