The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI's most popular specialty course! This is easy to understand once you realise that diving with enriched air (nitrox) gives you more no-decompression time, especially on repetitive dives. Alternatively, you can use enriched air to increase your own safety margin if you breathe nitrox but plan your dives as if you were diving on air. If longer dives and being able to get back in the water sooner sound appealing, then this is the course for you!
During the course, you'll learn why diving with a gas which has a higher oxygen content, and lower nitrogen content, than air increased your bottom time along with specific considerations relating to the use of nitrox. You'll lean how to manage your oxygen exposure, set your dive computer to nitrox mode and how to analyse the contents of your scuba cylinder.
All required PADI materials are included and for you to keep. The PADI certification fee is also included. You will need to supply your own scuba gear including a computer, or alternatively you can hire at a competitive rate. *Please note the cost of the nitrox fills and charter fees (unless indicated above) are NOT included in the course fee.
